AviPrep and Taxiway Bravo, compared honestly

AviPrep is a flight-training marketplace: students book independent instructors and aircraft listed by owners, clubs and schools, and pay after each lesson.[1] Owners list for free with no monthly fee; renters pay a per-booking fee whose amount we did not find published.[2] Its owner tools include one calendar per aircraft, Hobbs logged with the ADS-B track attached, automatic charging on actual Hobbs, squawks, inspections and monthly statements.[2] It leaves airworthiness, insurance and checkouts to the owner and the pilot in command, and we found no weight and balance or handbook features.[2] If you want marketplace renters for your airplane, AviPrep is built for that. If you run your own club's schedule and want each tail's weight and balance on every booking, that is us.

Where AviPrep is better

If one of these decides it for you, choose them. We would rather you knew now.

  • It brings renters: students and instructors already looking for an aircraft.[1] We bring none.
  • An ADS-B track attached to every flight, with Hobbs.[2]
  • Native iPhone and Android apps.[1]
  • The student side: instructors to book and pay per lesson, with no package.[1]

What it costs

For one aircraft, both cost the owner nothing a month.[2] The difference is who pays per flight and how much: AviPrep's renter fee is not published, so we cannot do the arithmetic.[2] Ours is on the pricing page, worked through on a $150 rental hour. A club past one aircraft pays $19 a month up to 3 aircraft or $49 for any fleet, at founding rates.
